What is emotional intelligence or emotional quotient? Studies show that those who take the time to strengthen their EQ muscle have greater levels of success and feelings of fulfillment throughout their life.
But can emotional intelligence really be taught, learned, or are we just born with or without it?
My guest today is Kristy Arnett, the host of "WTF Am I Doing With My Life" podcast. Kristy is a speaker, writer, and Founder of Center LLC, a coaching business that empowers people to live vibrant, courageous lives through health, fitness, and emotional intelligence. Kristy is certified in Personal Training through NASM and in Life Coaching through ChoiceCenter Leadership University.
Previous to this, Kristy worked in the poker industry for nearly a decade as a writer, on-camera host, producer, and professional poker player.
"I do 1-on-1 coaching and am currently building a health/fitness program built on the context of EQ for sustained lifestyle
I'm a certified personal trainer and emotional intelligence coach. I'm most passionate about discussing the hidden reasons people don't achieve or maintain a healthy lifestyle."
In our interview we discuss 3 actionable steps for health from an EQ context:
1) Create a health vision - What's it look and feel like? What's your why?
2) Write down specific goals and make a plan with benchmarks. Find people to hold you accountable. Write down possible obstacles. Write down resources you may need to use. Write down who you have to BE to make this happen.
3) Begin a meditation / visualization practice.
